Dangerous Goods Policy
Last updated: 21 Jul 2026
This policy sets out how shipments containing dangerous goods must be declared and handled on Eaglewing. It applies in addition to, not instead of, our Prohibited Items Policy.
1. What Counts as Dangerous Goods
Dangerous goods include items that are flammable, explosive, corrosive, oxidizing, toxic, radioactive, or otherwise capable of posing a risk to health, safety, property, or the environment in transit — for example, lithium batteries shipped on their own, aerosols, flammable liquids, and certain industrial chemicals.
2. Mandatory Declaration
Any shipment containing dangerous goods must be flagged as such at booking using the "Dangerous Goods" flag on the shipment form. Non-declaration is a breach of our Terms & Conditions and may result in the shipment being refused, held, or destroyed, and the account suspended.
3. Courier Acceptance
Not all courier partners on our network accept dangerous goods, and acceptance may be limited by class, quantity, or packaging type. Declared dangerous-goods shipments are only routed to courier partners who support that class of goods; if none are available for your route, the shipment cannot be booked.
4. Packaging & Labelling
Dangerous goods must be packaged, labelled, and (where applicable) accompanied by safety data sheets in accordance with the courier partner's and applicable regulatory requirements (including, where relevant, IATA/ADR-equivalent domestic transport rules). The merchant is responsible for correct classification and packaging.
5. Liability
The merchant is solely liable for any injury, loss, damage, delay, or regulatory penalty arising from misdeclared or improperly packaged dangerous goods, including costs incurred by Eaglewing or the courier partner in safely handling or disposing of such goods.
